MAGA Street View (WIP)

2020 was a year to remember, to say the least, for those who lived it. While sheltering in place in Point Pleasant Beach for the summer months, Suhji encountered exotic beings that she’s never seen before—MAGA hatted humans. Seeing how normalized wearing MAGA hats and flags is in PPB, Suhji realized how much of a bubble she’s been living in, having resided in San Francisco and Brooklyn during the 45th American President’s administration.

Feeling somewhat fearful of the MAGA hatted humans and very aware of the fact that she is the only Asian person on her street, Suhji started following the humans and objects fashioning the MAGA artifacts and logging the exact location where they were sighted to understand the micro-regional political stance around her.
